Day 2

Somehow we successfully made it through another homeschool day. Doesn't sound like a big deal except Sam is out of town and without him around life is more chaotic! Only about 20 more days of him having to work non-stop before life can go back to normal again. 😳

Eli and Kate worked hard today underlining "a"s and crossing out vowels in their morning message.

He worked hard on his Cain and Abel coloring sheet. Kate did, too, while I read them their Bible story.

The most fun activity of the day was crumbling up paper bags and taping them under their desks to make a cave! We then drew animals on them similarly to what cavemen might have done. They noticed how much harder it was to draw like this versus drawing on flat paper at their desks. Even Luke got in on the fun!

For science, we discussed the way the Earth turns to make day and night. We took the globe in the bathroom, turned off the light, and shined a flashlight on it. We spun the Earth and noted how day and night occur at different times for different parts of the world. Eli loved it!

We completed his math and reading as well. Another successful day in the books! (Also, Eli is an elf again today. Kate is Rapunzel.) 😜
